Ryobi 970PF

The Ryobi 970PF is an 8-colour perfecting SRA1 sheet-fed offset press, capable of printing both sides of a sheet at the same time. Printing 16 A4 pages in one-pass equates to a staggering 240,000 A4 full colour images per hour, making it ideally suited to multi-page work (such as books and booklets) and longer-run jobs where speed, consistency, and unit cost are critical. With a mass of automation helping to dramatically reduce make-ready-time and ensure colour accuracy and dependable quality, its the ideal press for lithographic trade work.

HP Indigo 100K

2x Ricoh Pro C9500

Alongside our larger-format digital production, we also operate two Ricoh Pro C9500 Graphic Arts Edition, the SRA3 production digital press built specifically for commercial printing. Configured purely for print, with no scanning or copying functionality, it is designed for accuracy, consistency, and professional output rather than general office use. It excels at smaller-format and multi-version work, where layout efficiency and turnaround are critical, delivering clean detail and dependable colour performance. This allows us to allocate work intelligently across our production floor, ensuring every job is produced on the most appropriate press for its format, specification, and intent.

Canon Varioprint TITAN

The varioPRINT 6000 series TITAN is the complete monochrome production press solution. Its unique Gemini technology, simultaneously prints on both sides of the sheet at the same time and can’t help to impress with near-perfect registration at offset-like blackness and neat, flat, right-first-time output for easy and fast finishing. At Flexpress, it’s primarily used for monochrome printing of book pages giving us a fast, high quality finish on text and line work at prices unachievable on other devices.

Horizon StitchLiner Mark III

The Horizon StitchLiner Mark III is our main high-volume finishing line engineered for professional booklet production. Our 6-tower, 36-station system combines collating, folding, saddle stitching, and three-knife trimming into a fully automated workflow, delivering clean, precise booklets with minimal operator intervention and fast setup times. Capable of handling a wide range of formats, including A4 landscape and other expanded booklet sizes, and producing up to around 6,000 finished booklets per hour, it brings real flexibility and throughput to our binding floor. With automated thickness, stitch length, and balance adjustment built in, we can handle variable job requirements and deliver consistent, professional saddle-stitched brochures, catalogues, and publications that reflect the quality and care you expect.

Renz AP-360

The Renz AP360 is a high volume punching machine used for the production of wire-bound books and calendars. With continual non-stop loading, this machine is capable of reliably and accurately punching up to 100,000 A4 sheets per hour making it one of the most sought after machines around. Flexpress has 3:1, 2:1 and Calendar dies for twin-loop wire-o binding and a 4:1 oval die specifically for spiral binding.

Horizon BQ500 with inline HT300 Trimmer

With cycle speeds of up to 800 books per hour, the BQ 500 is a highly productive, high-quality perfect binding machine ideal for quantities as low as one up to many thousands. For further efficient productivity we have the machine inline to the HT 300 ensuring all 3 edges of the bound book are neatly and accurately trimmed without the need for a further offline process.

Renz Mobi 500

The Renz Mobi 500 is a user-friendly, semi-automatic twin-loop wire-o binding machine for books, manuals and calendars. Capable of binding books up to 26mm thick and with speeds up to 800 items per hour, it can easily cope with a wide variety of different jobs. Flexpress stock the full range of wire sizes in black, white and silver to cover most binding requirements.

PBS-420 Spiral Binding and Punching Machine

When it comes to spiral bound books, diaries, planners and notepads, our fully automatic spiral binder is the ultimate in productivity. It can automatically punch and bind up to 1200 books per hour and even alternatively turns the books for ease of packing. This technology enables us to cope with even the most demanding seasonal peak.

Duplo DBM 700 Booklet System

Our 6-tower, 60 station Duplo 700 system is considered the most highly specified in the world and is therefor one of our most versatile purchases. Complete with 3 knife trimming, square back unit, bi-directional kit and collator stacker, we can produce booklets up to 1cm thick and collate perfect bound book blocks of 120 pages in one pass. This system even allows us to booklet-make and collate at the same time for maximum efficiency.

Embellishment

Duplo DDC 8000

When it comes to raised spot UV and tactile metallic foiling, our DDC 8000 quite literally does make your print standout! With a maximum sheet size of 750 x 530mm, the machine works hand-in-hand with our HP Indigo to create glorious embellished print with maximum impact. Choose from Silver, Gold, Copper, Holographic Silver, Green or Blue metallic effects, or a simple spot UV with a super-high gloss with no minimum quantity or setup charge!

Bacciottini AF Speed Creasing & Perforating Machine

When, like at Flexpress, you need to accurately crease in excess of 50,000 sheets per day, you need something built for the job and the Bacciottini AF Speed is just that: a heavy-duty, high-speed creasing machine designed for the most demanding environment. Offering quick setup and fast changeover between sizes, and with speeds up to 10,500 accurately creased sheets per hour, what more could you ask?

2 x Multigraph Touchline CP375s

Of all the crease and folding machines we've tried over the years, none beat the CF375 for versatility, ease of use and most importantly, excellent results - that's why we've got two! From papers to laminated boards, this compact little machine just does what it supposed to: high quality, accurate creasing and folding.

Horizon AFC-566 AKT

Fast, reliable folding and cross folding come courtesy of our Horizon B2 Cross-knife folding machine. With automated setup for 17 standard fold patterns and speeds up to 42,000 cycles per hour, this Horizon folding machine makes light work of accurate folding on any run length.

Cutting & Die-cutting

DC 20K Cutting System

Linking the versatile Duplo DC 746 with the Duplo B2 Sheet feeder/splitter delivers cut to size products from our HP Indigo with minimal waste and without the sheet ever needing to touch a guillotine. Used at Flexpress, primarily for business cards, each sheet uses a pre-printed registration mark to ensure accurate sheet-to-sheet alignment. This means that 250 business cards, even with tight borders can be quickly cut within 0.2mm accuracy in less than 1 minute.

Duplo DSM1000 Die-Cutter

Bringing traditional die-cutting to the 21st Century, the DSM 1000 uses time-tested traditional cutting and creasing forms along with the same counterforce matrix, but with a make-ready taking just a fraction of the time. Typically, in the time taken to set up a traditional Cylinder machine, Flexpress can have changed and die-cut 3 different jobs! No wonder we're so competitive for folders and wallets!

Scotty 5000 Tab-cutting Machine

The Scotty 5000 is universally recognised as one of the most versatile tab-cutting machines available. With it's ease of adjustment and ability to handle a wide variety of materials at speeds up to 5000 tabs per hour with, or without inline Mylar tab reinforcing means we can cater for most bespoke sets of tabbed dividers from 2 to 20 parts per set.

CCM 115 Guillotine

A powerful workhorse, our CCM guillotine works continuously daily. primarily, it's main function is trimming work printed on our Ryobi SRA1 press, ready for other processes such as booklet-making or folding.

Perfecta 92TS Guillotine

Another powerful workhorse, our 92cm Perfecta guillotine is primarily used for cutting work printed on our HP Indigo press. Being pre-programmed with all our standard sizes makes trimming jobs down to the correct sizes, ready for packing, or for other finishing operations quick and simple.

Ideal 5560LT Guillotine

Even our smallest guillotine has advanced features for ease of work-handling. Features like a programmable memory extended side tables and an air bed. This guillotine is used for trimming work from our smaller format SRA3 machines, but don't let it's demure size fool you: it's still a highly accurate and powerful little beast!
